On Wednesday 22 June the AA mines with the help of the Zimbabwe Republic Police, dispersed Mashava residents from a place they have been calling home for several years.The AA mine authorities argued that the residents should relocate to King mine.
In an interview with this publication, Mrs Chitanda a Mashava resident said that , “If they give us our pension we will go but we refuse to go without our money” and Mr Tarisai a resident at Mashava also said that, ” Gathsmine has become our home we won’t go anywhere If they throw out our things we will take them back inside we will fight till they leave us”.
